We stock a variety of handmade Tribal rugs from different areas. The main types being Baluch, Caucasus, Turkmen and Kurdish. These rugs are woven by the nomadic tribesman and villagers of these different regions. They are all made using traditional techniques with hand spun wool and they tend to display mainly geometric motifs without curves or flowers in their designs. In true Tribal pieces you rarely find large or oversized version of the rugs. This is due to the portability of the weaver’s looms. As they frequently move around, carrying large looms is impractical, so the pieces tend to be on the smaller size.
